DAVISON — The 25th Annual Davison Pumpkin Festival will begin Oct. 10 with a Trunk or Treat event downtown on Main Street at 6 p.m.

The Trunk or Treat will be set up on Main Street from Mill to Third street. The Davison Downtown Development Authority plans on having other activities during the Trunk or Treat, like the Pet Costume contest and other activities at the corner of Second and Main streets.

The festival is looking for the area’s cutest baby. The new “My Little Pumpkin” contest, sponsored by ELGA Credit Union, began one week prior to the Festival with the winner announced at the Festival on Oct. 11.

The contest is open to the public, age 0-24 months. The cost is $5 to enter and includes one wristband for all the activities at the Festival, said DDA officials.

Judging will be done by the public who will cast their vote for the cutest “Little Pumpkin.”

Once the entries are in posters with photos will be on display at City Hall, Davison branch of the Genesee District Library and other locations downtown. Voting will end at 4 p.m. on Oct. 11 during the Pumpkin Festival with all Festival contest winners being announced at 4:30 p.m.

The contestant with the most votes will win the title of Davison’s “My Little Pumpkin”. The winner and runner up will receive Savings Bonds donated by ELGA Credit Union of $100 for 1st place and $50 for 2nd place. Entry forms are available at City Hall or by email request to davisondda@gmail.com.
