JOAN MARIE LANG, 86, of Richfield Township, died Friday October 5, 2018 at the family farm where she lived for 68 years, surrounded by loved ones.

Joan was born in Flint, on

December 21, 1931, the daughter of the late Frank and Ida (Sharboneau) Madore and has resided in the Davison area all her life. She was joined in marriage to Gordon Arthur Lang on August 26, 1950 at St. John Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on April 11, 2016. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, and had served her community for many years as a member of the Davison Area Ambulance Authority. She had been employed by Dr. Richard Plymale as a Dental Hygienist.

Surviving are children, Dr. Rita Lang, Shelia and Wes Powell, Gordie Lang; and daughter-in-law, Holly Lang. She also leaves her grandchildren, Russell and Chelsea, William Jr. and Megan, Bryan and Jill, Heidi, Halicia, Brad and Carrie, Jamie and Drew, Jesse and Brittany, and 17 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings, Eugene and Erma Madore, Margaret Fromwiller, Yvonne and Jim Gerow, Norma and Harvey Hubbard; sister-in-law, Peggy Madore; and a host of extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by son, William “Bill” Lang; brothers, Joseph “Joe” Madore and Paul Madore; sister, Venetta Babich.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday October 12, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski, Celebrant, with Rite of Committal to follow at St. John Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 1-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Joan will lie in state at the church from 12 noon Friday until time of services.
