Volleyball team falls to Grand Blanc

McKenna Carpenter led the Lady Cardinals with five kills, two blocks and an ace. Chelsea Oryszczak had five kills and Taylor Lintz finished with 22 assists.

Last Saturday, the Lady Cardinals reached the quarterfinals of the Flushing Invitational before getting knocked out. Davison defeated Swartz Creek 25-20, 25-13, Mott 25-16, 25-14 and Cass City 25-19, 26-24, but lost to Stevenson 14-25, 21-25 for a 3-1 record in pool play. The team advanced to the quarterfinals, where it lost 25-18, 20-25, 12-15 to St Johns.

Zoe Rhines led Davison with 26 kills, while Carpenter added 16. Taylor Lintz had 72 assists on the day with six aces, Savannah Varela had 36 digs and Parker Kodat had 29 digs with nine aces.
