Free magic show and face painting

DAVISON TWP. — April 14, from 2:30- 4:30 p.m., Davison Farmers Market will be caught up in the world of illusion with Ray Champion, the magician. Ray will be performing a free magic show for kids of all ages. Afterwards, kids can get their face painted for free.

Come early and checkout the enchanting world of the market, with its new addition Scalici’s Pizza and all the fresh produce, meat, cheese, eggs, baked goods and unique gifts the market has to offer. It is always a thrilling adventure at the market.

The Davison Farmers Market open year round 9 a.m.–6 p.m., on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Located just off I-69, at the corner of Irish and East Court.

Junior League of Flint 90th Anniversary Gala

FLINT — The Junior League of Flint (JLF) 90th Anniversary Gala will be held at 6 p.m. April 21 at the Captain’s Club at Woodfield, 10200 Woodfield Dr, in Grand Blanc.

Since 1928, the League has played a vital role in impacting Flint. From a small group sewing for local charities, JLF has grown to over 200 active, sustaining and provisional members who contribute through volunteer service, financial assistance and community leadership. Volunteer service is a cornerstone of the Junior League program/ 90th Gala guests will enjoy dinner, dancing and more, to commemorate this anniversary milestone. Everyone is welcome to attend. 100K Ideas reaches 100th idea milestone

FLINT — 100K Ideas, a nonprofit dedicated to helping innovators and entrepreneurs take their ideas to market, has celebrated the intake of its 100th idea just four months after its grand opening. Since then, student employees have worked with ideas in industries ranging from alternative energy to recreation -- each attempting to solve a unique problem. 100K Ideas has attracted innovators and entrepreneurs from all over the state of Michigan.

100K Ideas aims to accelerate its momentum as spring approaches. The organization will be expanding its team and introducing students from across the country to Flint. Anyone interested in making an appointment can call 810-213-4720 or visit 100kideas.org. — R.S.
