Photo by Lisa Paine DAVISON – The Davison boys’ swim and dive team will be under new skipper Marty Quertermous this season. He replaces David Barrett, who is now in charge of Kearsley’s boys’ program.

“I’m a new coach taking over the program, and the goal for this year is to have everyone swimming their fastest times and having a majority qualify back for the championship day of the Saginaw Valley League Meet,” said Quertermous.

Davison has 17 boys and one girl swimming this season led by the three seniors, Levi Hair, Evan Johns and Simon Kimber. Two juniors include returning swimmers Kaden Walworth and Charles Smith. A large crop of underclassmen include sophomores Griffin Kish, and Leonard Pray, Kyle Hill, Noah Chamberlain, Gage Tuttle, Josh Squires and Jackson Harwell, who were newcomers last year. Along with them are classmates and sophomores, Hunter O’Connor and Gavin Laux.

Newcomers and freshmen are Molly Russell, Donovan Estes and Mitchell Dyer.
