Teams need to win, place second or earn 18 points during their respective regional tournaments to be able to qualify for the state meet. The winner and runner up at No. 1 Singles automatically qualify.

Division 1 teams will be at the Greater Midland Tennis Center should they make the state meet. Division 2 is at Kalamazoo College, Division 3 at Holland and Division 4 at Novi High School.

Davison is competing in the Division 1 tournament at Clarkston today and is joined by Bloomfield Hills, Clarkston, Lake Orion, Lapeer, Oxford, Rochester, Rochester Adams and Waterford Mott. As of October 3, Bloomfield Hills was the top-ranked team in the state in Division 1. Clarkston will also be a tough opponent as it placed second in the regional last season and was seventh at the state meet. Davison also recently beat Lapeer 8-0.

The Cardinals will be led by Austin Pariseau at No. 1 Singles. Whitman Hooper will compete at No. 2, Mitchell Rutowski at No. 3 and Jacob Bass at No. 4. Doubles tandems include Quinn Trombley and Michael Rushlow at No. 1, Dom Bastionelli and Caden Walworth at No. 2, Robert Walker and Cash King at No. 3 and Montana Bishop and Jaxon Evans at No. 4.
