2017 Homecoming Court nominees and underclassmen representatives announced

Nominees for the 2017 Homecoming Queen are: Paige Glennie, Anna Hawk, Electra Hug, Ashley Kish, Mason Lintz and Olivia Thiel.

• Paige Glennie. Paige’s family includes parents Blaise and Barbara Glennie, and siblings, Lexis, Saw-yer, Kail and Maren. Paige is involved in track and field and enjoys painting and watching football. Paige’s favorite class is French with Madame Hungerford. Paige plans to attend Baker College to be-come a dental hygienist.

• Anna Hawk. Anna’s family includes parents Travis and Lori Hawk and sibling, Allison. Anna is involved in varsity volleyball, travel volleyball, varsity track and church youth group. Anna’s favorite class is AP Spanish with Senora Gokey. Anna is planning to go to nursing school to become a registered nurse and earn a minor in Spanish.

Electra’s family includes parents Eric Hug and Lindsay Jackson and siblings, Chloe and CJ. Electra is a member of the Miss Davison Court and National Honor Society. Electra plans to be-come a nurse and specialize in labor and delivery.

• Ashley Kish. Ashley’s family includes parents Al and Lorraine Kish and sibling, Griffin. Ashley is a member of the National Honor Society and varsity softball team. Ashley’s favorite class is criminal law with Ms. Aboneaaj. Ashley plans to attend Grand Valley State University and pursue studies in the medical field.

• Mason Lintz. Mason’s family includes parents Darryl and Sarah Lintz and siblings, Taylor and Cameron. Mason is a member of the varsity volleyball and track teams and DECA. Mason’s favorite class is marketing. Mason plans to study business marketing at a university to potentially be a business owner some day.


Madelyne Caudle and Dominic Wendel will represent the Class of 2020. Madelyne Caudle and Dominic Wendel will represent the Class of 2020. • Olivia Thiel. Olivia’s family includes parents Kris and Laurie Thiel and siblings Katy and Peyton. Olivia is a member of the sideline and competitive cheerleading teams and varsity track and field. Olivia’s fa-vorite class is chemistry with Mr. Wallberg. Olivia plans to attend Michigan State University to major in kinesiology and become a member of the cheer team.

Vying for the title of Homecoming King are: Carson Aboneaaj, Carter Domke, Gabe Ellis, Tommy Goyette, Clayton Kidder and Tariq Reid.

• Carson Aboneaaj. Carson’s family includes Mo Aboneaaj and Jodi Aboneaaj and siblings, Camy and Cole. Carson is a member of the varsity lacrosse and football teams. Carson also enjoys playing basket-ball at Gates Elementary and hanging out with friends at Regional Park. Carson plans to attend a four-year university to earn a degree in business.


Cannon Hall and Morgan Turgeon will represent the junior class. Cannon Hall and Morgan Turgeon will represent the junior class. • Carter Domke. Carter’s family includes parents Nate Domke and Stacey Williams and sibling, Josh. Carter is a member of the marching band. Carter’s favorite class is French with Madame Hungerford. Carter plans to study French in college.

• Gabe Ellis. Gabe’s family includes parents Shawn and Kathy Ellis and sibling, Jake. Gabe is a member of the football, wrestling and baseball teams. Gabe’s favorite class is any class with Mrs. Kondel. Gabe plans to study sports management and play college football.

• Tommy Goyette. Tommy’s family includes parents Tom and Cathy Goyette and siblings, Madeline and Nick. Tommy is a member of the varsity football, hockey and lacrosse teams and National Honor Society, and is a Co-Op student at Davison Middle School. Tommy’s favorite classes are chemistry with Mr. Wall-berg and accounting with Ms. Aboneaaj. Tommy plans to attend Michigan State University and major in supply chain management.

• Clayton Kidder. Clayton’s family includes parents Randy and Mary Ann Kidder and siblings, Kyle and Courtney. Clayton is involved in basketball, baseball, Science Olympiad and Student Council. Clayton’s favorite class is AP Calculus with Mrs. Heavner. Clayton plans to attend the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor or Kettering University to become a mechanical engineer.

• Tariq Reid. Tariq’s family includes parents, Cynthia Reid and Ernest Brooks and sibling, Terry. He is a member of the football and track teams and enjoys recreational singing with his friends. Tariq’s favorite class is any math class. Tariq plans to play football in college and major in business.

The junior class representatives on this year’s Homecoming Court are Morgan Turgeon and Cannon Hall.

Representing the sophomores are Madelyne Caudle and Dominic Wendel.

The freshmen class representatives are Joslyn Chandler and Jack Griswold.

The homecoming queen will be crowned during half-time ceremonies at the Friday, Oct. 6 varsity football game, and the homecoming king was announced at the Wednesday, Oct. 4 Powderpuff football game. Result were not available at press time.
