Lady Cards’ season ends in regional semifinal

Photo by Todd Boone SAGINAW – After taking down Lapeer to win the Class A district championship, the Davison softball team moved on to this past Saturday’s regional at Saginaw Valley State University and suffered a 9-0 loss to Midland, the No. 6 ranked team in the state in Div. 1.

Davison kept it close early on as Midland led 1-0 after one inning and 3-0 after two, a score that held up through the fourth inning. The Chemics, however, who add three runs in the fifth and three in the seventh to pull away. Midland racked up 12 hits to Davison’s four.

Davison’s season concludes at 20-16 overall, 11-9 SVL. – B.P.
