HAZEL BETHANY STABLES, 72, formerly of Davison and Saginaw, passed away on Friday April 14, 2017, after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Hazel was born in Ogden, Utah, on

October 7, 1944, the daughter of the late J. Edward and Helen (Stafford) Stables. She was a graduate of Almont High School Class of 1962 and later graduated from Ross Medical School. She had worked in the medical field her entire life, spending her early years as a medical aid at Oakdale in Lapeer. She also spent many years as a medical technician, while also working as an office manager for several doctors until her retirement in 2000.

She leaves to cherish her memory sisters, Janet (Peter) LaRose of Canton Twp, Joyce (Ron) McElroy of Utah; brother, James (Carol) Stables of Davison, Paul Stables of Sterling Heights; five nephews and two nieces.

Hazel was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Stables.

The family would like to thank the staff of Redwood Manor of Burton for their care and compassion they showed to Hazel.

Those desiring may make contributions in Hazel’s memory to Redwood Manor of Burton.

Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. Private burial will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Traverse City.
