DDA, Hurley to hold annual health fair

DAVISON — Hurley Medical Center is looking forward to participating in the 3rd annual Davison Downtown Development Authority Health Fair scheduled for March 7.

DDA Events Coordinator Diane Millington said she thinks this year will be the best Health Fair so far, with plenty to offer for everyone in the Davison area.

She said the event will be a day of health, wellness, fitness and relaxation. Learn more about taking better care of yourself with free health screenings, enter to win door prizes, demonstrations, financial health and even learn about healthy pets.

The fair will be from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church gym, 208 E. Fourth St. Admission is free.

There will be representatives from Hurley Medical Center Health and Wellness, the YMCA and Camp Copneconic.

Danielle Campbell, Hurley’s Community Wellness manager, will provide information on Camp Movelt, Smoking Cessation Programs, Healthy Family Living Programs and registered dietitian services. She will also provide weight and body fat percentage screenings and will enter visitors to the fair in free giveaways.

Millington said the YMCA will offer information on membership, swim lessons, youth program and healthy living information, while Camp Copneconic will have information on spring and summer camps and family camps.

Other 2015 Health Vendors will include: Mid Michigan Phlebotomy, Scentsy, the American Cancer Society, Dr. Andres Lambaria, Dunkel Veterinary, Swartz Ambulance, The Art of Dentistry, Cora Rehab, Beauty by Taylor, Reverence Home Health Hospice, the Disability Network, Watkins, the American Red Cross, Michigan Blood, Crim Fitness, Advanced Physical Therapy Rehab, MSU Healthy Eating, GNC and Wildtree.
