DDA gives thanks for successful event

The Davison DDA and Christmas On Main St committee would like to thank the many people that made this years Christmas On Main St. a big success. Everyone enjoyed the Parade, the visit from Santa and his elves, Hayrides, crafts, face painting, Elf Hunt, Elf Run and refreshments. It takes many behind the scenes volunteers and the cooperation from businesses to make an event like this to come together.

We added some new activities this year like the ELF Run/Walk by the Davison DECA Club, Davison’s Shop Small Business day with prizes and organized by Alex Rucker, Miss Davison, MSU Extension Health Eating program, our own newly formed Davison Kazoo Band and a special visit from the Buy Nearby Guy.

Kids activities are handled by some special volunteers at Living Grace Community Church, Pastor Mark and Cindy Wentzel along with their wonderful congregation make these activities special for the kids and families. Hank Graff donated the use of their Big Red Truck for Santa and this year included honoring retiring District Judge John Conover, strolling carolers from BJ’s Songbirds, Miss Davison Alex Rucker and her Court Hattie Molina and Brooklyn Hurley, Mayor Tim Bishop, Chief Harris, Tim Look, Deb Loveland, Pat Stetson, Jim Perry, Jim Hansen, The Complete Runner, Hilton Screeners, Bear Soup Deli, Hungry Howie’s, Sean O’Brien Law Office, Twilight Bark Boutique, Davison Vacuum, Digital Medics, the DECA Club members and the Davison DPW. Prizes were donated by Palace Jewelers, Game On, Bear Soup Deli, Davison Home Bakery, Ace Hardware, Elixer Clothing, Just Beautiful Boutique, Whitey’s Restaurant, Archies Restaurant, Meijer, Jimmy Johns, Menards, and Italia Gardens.
