DTV nominated for an Emmy

DAVISON — DTV, Davison High School’s student-produced television station, has been nominated for an Emmy for, "Rx for Trouble," a nineminute video that was produced for the Davison Area Prescription Drug Task Force.

The video was filmed, produced and edited by former DTV student Nick Baker, DTV Instructor Randy Scott and Programmer/Producer Sandy Coots.

"It’s so exciting," Coots said of the nomination. "It’s such an honor to be recognized by your peers."

DTV was nominated in the category of "Education/Schools." Winners will be announced May 14 in Detroit.

"Rx for Trouble" is based on a true story of an incident involving prescription drugs that occurred at Davison High School.
