FSPA musicians, dancers present annual Showcase Concert

FLINT — Nearly 300 students, ranging in age from 5 to 18, will perform in the Flint School of Performing Arts' Annual Showcase Concert at 3 p.m., May 2, at The Whiting, 1241 E. Kearsley St.

This performance is a great opportunity for families with children to see student performers in action. The Showcase Concert features FSPA student musicians and dancers in the following ensembles:
• Flint Youth Symphony
Orchestra
• Flint Youth Wind
Ensemble
• Flint Youth String
Orchestra
• Flint Youth Philharmonica
• FSPA string classes
• Flint Festival Youth
Chorus
• Flint Youth Ballet
• Youth Dance Ensemble
• Children’s Performance
Workshop.

The FSPA Jazz Ensemble will perform in the lobby prior to the concert. The exciting finale includes 250 young musicians on stage together performing Sibelius Symphony No. 2.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. They are available online or at The Whiting Ticket Center at 810-237-7333 or 888-8CENTER.
