Student named for co-op achievement

She is employed as the check encoder at Tri-Pointe Community Credit Union in Grand Blanc. Laurin has worked in the co-op position since September. She works there every afternoon from 2-5 p.m. She is responsible for running the encoder scanner for checks coming into the credit union and assisting tellers.

Laurin was nominated by Karen Gray, Tri-Pointe Community Credit Union’s HeadTeller. Gray said, “Laurin has shown great enthusiasm towards her job and gets along great with her co-workers, and Laurin is always very prompt and never misses work.”

Laurin is a high honor senior and is currently enrolled in Mrs. Aboneaaj’s Accounting class and has completed the Business Finance class. Laurin plans to study accounting in college this fall at either Kettering University or Central Michigan.

She was also on the DHS Varsity Bowling team for 2 years.

Laurin said she enjoys coop because she likes everyone at the credit union and “it’s a great working environment to learning more about credit unions.”

Davison State Bank congratulates Laurin and Tri- Pointe Community Credit Union, for being January’s Co-op Partners of the month.
