Get dog licenses

DAVISON — Attention dog owners! Feb. 28 is the final day to receive a 2010 Genesee County dog license without penalty.

Childs Veterinary Clinic, 3051 N. State Rd., Suite B, will hold a “last chance” rabies clinic. Rabies vaccinations will cost $15. Also available will be 2010 Genesee County dog licenses. Morning of prayer, reparation for world peace

DAVISON — The World Apostolate of Fatima Diocesan Morning of Prayer and Reparation for World Peace is 9 a.m. March 6 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 404 N. Dayton St.

Euchre tournament benefits ACS

DAVISON — Madden’s Lounge, 809 N. State Rd., hosts “A Tisket A Tasket’s De-Feeting Cancer Relay for Life” euchre tournament Feb. 27. The event opens at 5 p.m. with the tournament beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Book donations needed


DAVISON — The Friends of the Davison Library are accepting books for the used book sale at the library. Donations will be accepted Saturdays and Sundays from 12-5 p.m. beginning Jan. 30- 31. No textbooks will be accepted. Details: 810-653-6278. — G.G.

ELGA offers free tax preparation software for everyone

DAVISON — ELGA Credit Union recently announced it will offer a link to free state and federal tax preparation software through its website. This free service will be available to everyone that has access to the Internet and a printer. Anyone interested can visit www.elgacu.com/justfileit to find what information is needed to file and start using the service.

“Times are hard, and not paying a fee to file your taxes can really help,” said Anne Winn, ELGA Credit Union marketing representative. “This is a service that can help everyone, not just ELGA Credit Union members.”

Goodrich kindergarten, developmental kindergarten registration

GOODRICH — Goodrich Area Schools plan to register new Kindergarten and Developmental Kindergarten children during the week of March 22-26. Round-up nights will be May 4 and May 6. (This is for Kindergarten students only; Developmental Kindergarten Students will be on a different night.)

All children who are five (5) years old on or before Dec. 1, 2010, and live in the Goodrich Area School District are eligible for entry to Reid Elementary School.

Registration will take place for Goodrich at Reid Elementary School, 7501 Seneca St.

The district also will have an informational night 6:30-7:30 p.m. March 23 in the Reid Media Center. — N.B.

Mom2mom sale

FLINT — Holy Rosary Day Care and St. Patrick's Guild hosts a Mom2Mom sale 9 a.m.-1 p.m. March 13 at Holy Rosary Parish, 5199 Richfield Rd.

The sale is a chance for moms to sell or buy items from other moms, featuring like new or gently used baby and kids clothing, furniture, strollers, car seats, toys, maternity clothes and many other items.
