HELEN M. BUSH, 84, of Davison, passed away peacefully on Sunday, All Saints Day, a tradition of Western Christianity. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Harold, who was 84 when he passed in 2007. They will now be united for Eternity in the Lord’s Holy Kingdom.

Helen was born June 6, 1925, in Evansville, Ind., daughter of the late Walter and Mitilda (Damm) Montgomery. She graduated from Central High in Evansville in 1944. Helen had 7 brothers and sisters. Geraldine Karff, a niece of Harold’s mother, introduced Helen to her beloved husband and they were married on April 4, 1946. She was a talented seamstress and cook. Many of her creations and holiday dinners were family treasures. She enjoyed music, big band era dancing and bowling with her girlfriends. Helen loved her family and her home was the gathering place for many family reunions and celebrations. Most of all, she loved her boys. Helen was an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and was the church secretary for many years. Our Risen Lord Lutheran Church has been her home church for the past two decades. Helen spent the last 5 years of her life at Ferguson Nursing Home, receiving excellent care for the dreaded Alzheimer√≠s disease, which had taken her away from family and friends much longer than today’s earthly passing. Donations may be given to Our Risen Lord Lutheran Church for all the pastoral and congregational support.

Helen is survived by her 3 children, Daniel (Clare) Bush of Spring Lake, David (Sally) Bush of Lapeer, Gregory (Gwen) Bush of Houghton Lake; 9 grandchildren, Vincent, Jennifer, Heidi, Jodi, Nathan, Andy, Erica, Kristen and Brook. She was also blessed with 9 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service was held Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 E. Davison Rd., Davison. Rev. Robert D. Taylor officiated. Burial followed in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
