Mary Jane McCormick of Davison age 76 went home to be with the Lord on Monday January 12, 2009 at Brian’s House Hospice. Mrs. McCormick was born in Chicago, Illinois March 17, 1932 the daughter of the late Andrew and Nanajan (Auakian) Simon. She had resided in the Davison area for the last thirty-nine years. She was joined in marriage to her husband of 58 years Samuel McCormick on December 30, 1950. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Michigan Blue Grass Association and the Presidents Club. Mary Jane McCormick was employed by Dr. Plymale for twenty-five years retiring in 1995. Surviving is husband: Samuel, children: Michael (Laura) McCormick, Rebecca Horton, and Steven (Susan) McCormick. Grandchildren: Nicholas, Danielle, Jeri Ann, Megan, Julie, Rachel, Jacob, and Adam. Great grandchildren: Gabe, Libby, Abbey, Janelle, Marissa, and Julian. Sister: Martha (Robert) Joseph, brothers: John (Patricia) Simon and Andrew (Patricia) Simon and host of many other relatives, and loving pet “cookie”. She is preceded in death by granddaughter: Amy. A funeral service will be held at 11; 00 a.m. Saturday January 17, 2009 at Our Savior Lutheran Church 6901 N. Saginaw St. Flint. Rev. Randall Schultz officiating Family will receive visitors from 4-8 p.m. Thursday January 15th and 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday January 16th at the funeral home. Mary Jane will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.

David L. Ferguson, 52, of Columbiaville, died on Friday January 9, 2009 at Lapeer Regional Medical Center. David was born February 7, 1956 the son of Ronald L. and Barbara (Bedtelyon) Ferguson. He married Evonne Perkett. He worked for Olds Trucking Co. and the former Richfield Disposal Co.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at St. Francis Xavier Church, Otisville, Rev. Fr. Francis Farachi officiated. Burial was in Crestwood Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the family.
Surviving are wife, Evonne; 3 children, Christopher, Mathew, and Lisa; 4 sisters, Suzan Inman, Jean Johnson, Sandra Kipp and Sharon Miller; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara and Ronald (Babe) Ferguson and a brother, Daniel Ferguson.
